Henry Kuttner published extensively in Weird Tales during the 1930s alongside writers connected to H. P. Lovecraft’s literary circle. His horror fiction included stories such as The Salem Horror, The Graveyard Rats, and Hydra, while his science fiction appeared in Astounding Science Fiction, Thrilling Wonder Stories, and Startling Stories.
Kuttner later became one of the most versatile pulp-era storytellers of the twentieth century, often collaborating with C. L. Moore under several pseudonyms. Together they produced classics including Mimsy Were the Borogoves and Vintage Season. The Secret of Kralitz captures Kuttner early in his career, combining Lovecraftian terror with the decaying grandeur of Gothic horror.
